• Radar Transparency: Older generations often triggered dashboard errors  on 2015+ because their thick circuit boards blocked radar signals. The 4th Gen utilizes innovative coating technology that allows radar waves to pass through without interference.  

• Animation: Many 4th Gen models feature a startup animation (pulse or sweep) when you unlock the vehicle.

• Plug-and-Play Wiring: These units are typically designed to tap directly into the daytime running light (DRL) or headlight harness, meaning they illuminate automatically whenever your lights are on.

Installation

1. Verify Your Diameter: The MK6 Jetta generally uses a 137mm (approx. 5.4 inch) front emblem. Always measure your existing badge before ordering to ensure a flush fit.  

2. Drilling Required: Unlike simple plastic badges, LED emblems require a small hole (usually 1/4 inch) to be drilled behind the emblem mounting point to route the power wires through the grille.

3. Power: For the cleanest look, tap into the side marker lights or the parking light wire. This ensures the emblem turns on with your lights but doesn't stay on when the car is off, protecting your battery.
