HPS 5.0 is Hawk's next-generation street compound — a real step up from stock pads for spirited driving, without the noise and dust that usually come with performance pads.
The Compound
Ferro-Carbon, built for the street.
Hawk's Ferro-Carbon friction material grips harder than OE pads from the first stop, hot or cold. Hawk rates its HPS family at roughly 20–40% more stopping power than standard replacement pads.
The Feel
A firmer, more predictable pedal.
Consistent bite and smooth release make the brakes easier to modulate, whether you're trail-braking on a back road or crawling through traffic. It works with the factory ABS, not against it.
The Fade Resistance
Holds up when you lean on it.
Repeated hard stops are where stock pads give up. HPS 5.0 keeps its friction level as temperatures climb, so the pedal you have at the bottom of the mountain is the one you had at the top.
The Daily
Low dust. Quiet. Easy on rotors.
Less dust on your wheels, virtually no squeal, and even rotor wear — so it lives happily on a daily-driven GTI. Designed for iron rotors only; not for carbon-ceramic.
Fitment
Which brakes does your GTI have?
MK7 GTIs left the factory with either standard brakes or the larger Performance Pack brakes. The quickest check is rotor size (front rotors on Performance Pack cars are noticeably bigger and the calipers say “GTI” in red). If in doubt, send us your VIN.

Is this a front and rear kit?
No — each option is one axle (4 pads). For a full car, add a front set and a rear set that match your brakes.
How do I know if I have Performance Pack brakes?
Performance Pack cars have larger front rotors and red calipers with a GTI logo. The surest way is to email your VIN to contact@eurowerks.co and we'll confirm.
Do I need new rotors?
Not necessarily. If your rotors are within spec and have no deep grooves or lip, new pads are fine. For the best feel, resurface or replace worn rotors and bed the pads in properly.
Will these work on a daily driver?
Yes. HPS 5.0 is a street compound — low dust, quiet, and works cold. It is not intended as a dedicated track pad.
Do they come with wear sensors?
Reuse your existing wear sensor if it's in good condition, or replace it if it has been triggered or damaged during removal.
What's the return policy?
