Install Guide · Honda Civic Type R FL5

Garage Unique Front Lip

A direct bolt-in for the FL5's lower front bumper — no cutting, drilling into the body, or permanent modification required.

DifficultyVery Easy
Time~1 hr
Fits2023+ Civic Type R

  • Phillips or Torx screwdriver (or drill/driver with matching bit)
  • Painter's or masking tape
  • Isopropyl alcohol wipes
  • An extra set of hands for alignment

1

Prep the Mounting Surface

Park on level ground and let the front end cool if just driven. Wipe the lower bumper section with a panel-safe cleaner to clear grime, wax, or polish residue.

2

Dry-Fit and Align

Have a helper hold the lip against the bumper. Tape it temporarily at a few points and check the gap is even left-to-right before committing to fasteners.

3

Fasten the Lip

Drive the included hardware through the lip's pre-drilled holes directly into the bumper plastic — work from the center outward toward each end.

4

Finish Up

Pull the alignment tape, wipe the center section with alcohol, apply the included badge, and press firmly for a few seconds to set the adhesive.

!
Don't use the OEM mounting tabs
They're not built to carry a bolt-on lip long-term — the lip's own pre-drilled holes are positioned specifically to bypass them. Every mounting point sits hidden behind the lip once installed.

  • Lower bumper cleaned and free of grime or wax
  • Lip dry-fit and taped with an even gap both sides
  • All hardware through the lip's pre-drilled holes, not the OEM tabs
  • No visible screws from the front or underneath
  • Alignment tape removed and lip wiped with alcohol
  • Badge applied and pressed firmly to set
