The dynamic LED emblem assembly with app-controlled lighting
Remove the original flip emblem housing from the trunk.
Disconnect and remove the factory backup camera and its wiring harness.
Remove the four screws on the new dynamic housing to open it up for the camera to be mounted inside.
Attach the included bracket extension onto the stock camera — align the narrower side and push until it clicks into place.
Secure the bracket with the flat, longer screw in the center hole.
Mount the camera into the dynamic camera housing capsule, aligning the screw holes, and secure with the two round-head screws.
Plug the stock camera harness back in before inserting the unit further into the assembly.
Feed the camera capsule into its track on the main emblem flip mechanism, then install and lock the slide track cover.
Snap the mechanical linkage arm in and manually test that the camera flips out smoothly.
Align the motor actuator with the flip mechanism — the rocker arm must sit perfectly straight in the slot or the badge won't flip fully open or closed.
Secure the motor with the longest screw through the center hole, then the surrounding corner screws.
Snap the VW emblem faceplate on and lock down the housing with the four outer screws.
