This kit is a true plug-and-play install for the MK6 Jetta and MK6 GLI (2011–2018). It connects directly to the factory interior wiring harness — no cutting, no splicing, no permanent modifications. Once installed, color, brightness, and lighting modes are controlled entirely from your phone via Bluetooth.

1: Interior Panel Removal

1. Remove the door sill trims and lower dash panels to access the factory interior lighting harness. Most MK6 interior panels use push-pin clips — pry gently and evenly to avoid cracking the plastic.
2. Locate the factory ambient lighting connector (if equipped) or the nearest 12V accessory feed behind the dash, as identified in the kit's wiring diagram.
3. Route the included wiring harness along the factory harness path, using existing cable channels where possible.

2: LED Strip Placement

1. Test-fit each Dragon Scale pattern strip along the door panels, dash trim, and footwell areas before adhering anything.
2. Clean each mounting surface with an alcohol wipe to ensure proper adhesion.
3. Peel and place each strip section, pressing firmly along its full length to seat the adhesive backing.
4. Tuck excess strip length and connector cabling behind the trim panels so nothing is visible once reassembled.

3: Control Module & Power

1. Mount the control module in a hidden location — typically behind the glovebox or under the dash — using the included adhesive mount or zip ties.
2. Connect all LED strip leads into the control module's harness ports. Connectors are keyed and only fit one way.
3. Connect the module's power lead to the factory accessory circuit identified in step 1.
4. Before reinstalling any panels, power on the ignition and confirm all strips light up and cycle through colors correctly.

4: Reassembly & App Pairing

1. Once lighting is confirmed working, reinstall all door sills and dash panels in reverse order of removal.
2. Download the kit's companion app and pair via Bluetooth (the module will broadcast a pairing name on first power-up).
3. From the app, set your preferred color, brightness, and mode — static, breathing, or music-sync.
