Overview
The R front end, on a Jetta.
VW never sold the MK6 Jetta with a Golf R front end in the US — the GLI was the sportiest it got. This R-style bumper gives the Jetta and GLI the deeper, more aggressive look of the Golf R, using the factory grille and mounting points.
Lower and wider.
The bigger openings and sharper corners make the front end look lower and wider than the stock bumper.
Poly, not fiberglass.
Poly handles driveways, parking blocks and road debris much better than brittle fiberglass kits.
MK6 or MK6.5.

Test-fit first
Before any paint, test-fit the bumper on the car to check gaps and mounting. Painted parts can't be returned.
Prep and paint
Have a body shop scuff, prime and color-match the bumper.
Remove the factory bumper
Remove the top T25 bolts, the bolts in each wheel well and underneath, unplug the fog lights, then pull the bumper forward with a helper.
Transfer parts
Move over the grille, fog lights and any trim you're keeping. MK6.5 cars install the mount kit now.
Fit and align
Clip the new bumper onto the brackets, line up the gaps and tighten everything back up.
Fasteners are mostly T25 Torx. Allow a few hours with a helper, plus paint time.

Does it come painted?
No — it ships unpainted so your body shop can match your color.
Do I need a new grille?
It uses the MK6 (2011–2014) grille. MK6 owners reuse theirs. MK6.5 owners need an MK6 grille — our MK6 Hybrid Grille works.
What's the MK6.5 mount kit for?
The 2015–2018 facelift uses different bumper mounts. The kit lets the R bumper bolt up — it's included with the MK6.5 option.
Does it have parking sensor holes?
No. If your car has front sensors, the holes need to be drilled. Ask us first.
Will it fit my GLI?
Probably, but the GLI front end differs slightly. Send us your VIN and we'll confirm.
Can I install it myself?
If you're handy and have a helper, yes. We still recommend a body shop for paint and final fitting.
Is it fiberglass?
No — it's poly, which flexes instead of cracking.
What's the return policy?
Uninstalled and in original packaging, returns fall under our standard refund policy. Get in touch before sending anything back.
