The factory undertray is plastic and it does almost nothing when you find a pothole. This is a one-piece 3mm aluminum panel that replaces it — CAD-modelled to the MQB underbody, CNC laser-cut and folded to follow the factory profiles. It bolts to the existing mounting points with no drilling and puts real metal between your oil pan and the road.
