Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: June 2026
Last Updated: June 2026
At Eurowerks, we believe that everyone deserves an equal and dignified experience when shopping online. We are committed to making our website — eurowerks.co — accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. This page outlines the steps we are actively taking to improve and maintain the accessibility of our site.
Our Commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
We recognize that web accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We are committed to continuous improvement and take every accessibility concern seriously.
Steps We Are Taking
1. Platform & Infrastructure
Eurowerks is built on Shopify, one of the most widely-used and accessibility-aware e-commerce platforms available. Shopify's core themes and checkout infrastructure are developed with accessibility in mind and regularly updated to reflect current best practices and WCAG compliance requirements.
2. Semantic HTML & Page Structure
We use proper semantic HTML elements throughout our storefront — including correct use of headings (h1, h2, h3), lists, buttons, and landmark regions — to ensure our page structure is logically organized and navigable by screen readers and assistive technologies.
3. Image Alt Text
We make every effort to provide meaningful alternative text (alt text) for all product images and graphics on our site. Alt text enables users who rely on screen readers to understand the content and context of visual elements.
4. Keyboard Navigation
Our website is designed to be navigable using a keyboard alone, without the need for a mouse or touchscreen. This includes full keyboard access to menus, product pages, cart, and checkout.
5. Color Contrast
We aim to maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background elements in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). This ensures readability for users with low vision or color blindness.
6. Focus Indicators
Visible focus indicators are maintained on all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) so that keyboard users can always identify their current position on the page.
7. Accessible Forms
All forms on our site — including account creation, checkout, and contact forms — use proper <label> elements associated with their respective input fields. Error messages are clearly communicated and easy to locate.
8. Responsive Design
Our site is fully responsive and designed to function across a wide range of devices and screen sizes, including mobile phones, tablets, and desktops. Content reflows appropriately and does not require horizontal scrolling on standard viewport widths.
9. Text Resizing
Users can resize text up to 200% using browser zoom settings without loss of content or functionality. We avoid fixed font sizes where possible to ensure compatibility with user-defined text preferences.
10. Third-Party Content
Some content on our site is provided by third-party services (such as payment processors, shipping trackers, and embedded apps). While we do not control these third-party platforms, we actively choose partners who prioritize accessibility in their products. We encourage any third-party providers whose content is embedded on our site to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
11. Ongoing Review & Testing
We conduct periodic accessibility reviews of our storefront, including manual testing and the use of automated accessibility auditing tools. We use these reviews to identify gaps and prioritize fixes in an ongoing improvement cycle.
12. Staff Awareness
We are committed to ensuring that the individuals who manage and update our website are aware of accessibility best practices. This includes following accessible content standards when adding new products, images, or pages to the site.
Known Limitations
While we are actively working toward full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we acknowledge that our site may not yet be fully compliant in all areas. We are committed to identifying and addressing these gaps as quickly as possible. This statement is a declaration of our good-faith effort and ongoing commitment — not a claim of perfect, complete compliance.
