Forge Turbo Inlet Adapter — VW MK8 GTI
Forge FMTIA6 turbo inlet adaptor and silicone hose for the VW Golf MK8 GTI (245ps, EA888 Gen 4, DNP engine code).
The factory turbo inlet is restrictive plastic with a ribbed hose that disturbs airflow into the turbo — more of a problem the more the car is tuned. Forge replaces both parts: a cast aluminium inlet elbow, machined to fit, plus a smooth silicone hose that mates to it cleanly. Surface area at the elbow entry is increased by around 30%.

On the gains: Forge's testing on a stock car showed about 12Nm more torque between 2,000 and 2,400rpm and a smoother torque curve to around 3,300rpm, with a small bhp gain up top. They quote around 7bhp on a Stage 1 car. Intake gains scale with tune, so expect less on a fully stock car and more on a tuned one.
