The MK5 and MK6 left the factory with a thin plastic tray under the engine, and it gives up the first time you find a real pothole. This is a one-piece 3mm aluminum panel that replaces it — CAD-modelled to the PQ35 underbody, laser-cut and CNC folded to follow the factory profile. It bolts to the existing fastener locations with no drilling and puts real metal between your sump and the road.

Servicing NoteThis panel is solid — no drain access cutout. Plan on dropping it for oil changes. It is a handful of fasteners, so it is not a real chore, but budget the extra few minutes.

Step 02Offer Up the PanelOne-piece design lines up with the existing mounting locations. Nothing to drill or trim.
Step 03Torque It DownUse the supplied fasteners, work around the panel evenly and snug everything up.
