Overview
A factory VW head unit — from another market.
VW built the RCD330 for cars sold in China, Russia and Latin America. It's called the RCD330 in China and the RCD340G in most other markets — same unit. This is the "Noname" 187B version: no VW logo on the face, factory VW menus and look underneath.
Looks like it came with the car.
Same shape and size as the RCD310 and RCD510, so it lines up with your dash trim and buttons.
CarPlay in an older VW.
Gives MK5 and MK6-era cars the phone integration they never had — without an aftermarket-looking screen.
Wheel buttons, OPS, camera.
Works with your steering wheel buttons and factory parking display, and adds a rear camera input.

Regular or Rear USB?
Both run the same radio. The Rear USB version adds a hidden second USB port — the clean way to run a wireless CarPlay or Android Auto adapter.

Not sure which adapter? MK6 adapter for 2005–2015 cars. MQB to PQ adapter for 2016+ Jetta, Passat, Tiguan and Beetle with the newer plug. MFSW Canbus Gateway for 2007–2009 cars with the 8-button steering wheel — it stops battery drain and makes the buttons work.

InstallPlug and play, about an hour.
Pull the trim
Use a plastic trim tool to unclip the trim around the radio. MK5, MK6, Passat and Tiguan trims come off a little differently.
Remove the old radio
Undo the Torx screws, slide the radio out and unplug the quadlock and antenna.
Plug in the RCD330
Connect your adapter to the factory quadlock, then plug in the antenna, plus the camera and rear USB if you have them. Cars with a double Fakra antenna plug need a 2-to-1 Fakra adapter.
Test before you button up
Power it up and check CarPlay, Bluetooth, the steering wheel buttons and the camera before you screw the unit in.
Code only if needed
Most installs need no coding. The camera and OPS display can be switched on or off with VCDS or OBDeleven.
Typical install time: 30–60 minutes with basic hand tools.

Is CarPlay wireless?
It's wired out of the box. For wireless, add the CarPlay Wireless Adapter — on the Rear USB version it hides behind the dash.
Which adapter do I need?
MK6 adapter for 2005–2015 cars. MQB to PQ adapter for 2016+ Jetta, Passat, Tiguan and Beetle. MFSW Canbus Gateway for 2007–2009 cars with the 8-button steering wheel.
Will my steering wheel buttons work?
Yes on 6- and 12-button wheels. Older 8-button wheels need the MFSW Canbus Gateway option.
Why do some older cars get battery drain?
Older VW gateways don't tell the radio to sleep. Signs are the radio staying on with the key out or switching off every 30 minutes. The Canbus Gateway option fixes it.
Can I use my factory camera?
Only AV (CVBS) cameras. Older factory RGB cameras with a 26-pin plug aren't supported — pick the camera option instead.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes — the RCD330 ships worldwide, including Canada, the UK and Europe. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
Do I need coding?
Most installs don't. The camera and OPS display can be toggled with VCDS or OBDeleven.
Does it have a CD player or RDS?
No CD player, and no RDS station names on FM. Most owners stream through CarPlay or Bluetooth.
Can I use Bluetooth and CarPlay together?
CarPlay takes over calls and audio while your phone is plugged in. Bluetooth handles them when it isn't.
Will it work with Fender or Dynaudio?
