Rubber mats usually mean giving up the interior for six months of the year. KAGU liners are cut from a 3D scan of the MK8 floor pan, so they cover more carpet than the factory mats while still reading as part of the car.

3D-scanned specifically for your car — never just "adapted" to fit.
The 3D digitised design is matched to each individual vehicle application, so the liner follows the transmission tunnel, the footwell step and the seat rails rather than approximating them. Raised edges run the full perimeter and lift the coverage well past what a flat mat gives you — which is exactly where slush and salt normally find the carpet.
Waterproof & Easy To Clean
Hose it, wipe it, put it back.
The carbon-fibre embossed pattern and non-slip rubber surface layer make the liner fully waterproof and genuinely quick to look after. Shake off the loose grit, rinse it down, wipe it dry. Nothing soaks in, nothing needs shampooing at the end of the season.
Anti-Skid Backing
Stays exactly where you put it.
The patented MAXpider bottom layer is a dense fibre mat that locks into the carpet pile the moment the liner goes down. No spikes, no pegs, no velcro — nothing that chews up the factory carpet or leaves dents in the pile. The fronts still use the OEM retention hooks on top of that, so there's nothing creeping toward the pedals.
The Look
Black, matte, and quiet about it.
No branding across the footwell, no glossy rubber sheen. The carbon-embossed texture keeps the floor dark and even, which matters in a GTI or R interior where everything else is already black.
Eco-Friendly & Odourless

Manufactured from non-toxic material, so there's no chemical smell building up in the cabin on a hot day or after the car has sat closed for a week. It's the difference between a liner you tolerate and one you forget is there.
Construction
Three layers, each doing a job.
Most all-weather mats are a single slab of rubber. KAGU is built up in three distinct layers, which is why it stays put, stays quiet, and doesn't chew up the carpet underneath it.
Surface — Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR)
The carbon-fibre embossed top layer. Non-slip underfoot, waterproof, and the part that takes the abuse from wet boots and road grit while still wiping clean.
Core — Cross-Link Polyethylene (XPE)
A shock and sound-absorbent inner layer. It cushions the footwell and damps road noise coming up through the floor, which a single-material mat simply can't do.
Backing — MAXpider® (PET)
The patented bottom layer. This unique fabric keeps the liner from sliding without damaging your original carpet — no spikes, no pegs, nothing to leave marks in the pile. Protected under US Pat. 8,461,065 B2.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do I keep my factory mats underneath?
No. Take the factory mats out first — these are made to sit on the bare carpet, and stacking them changes the height and the way the liner locates.
Will they slide around?
The patented MAXpider backing grips the carpet pile, and the fronts still use the factory retention hooks. Between the two there's nothing to creep toward the pedals.
Why does the edge sit over the doorsill?
Some floor liners are designed to go over the doorsill. It's an intended part of the design, not a fitment issue — the liner is cut to cover the maximum carpet area, which means the edge can ride up onto the sill trim.
Will they smell inside the car?
No. They're manufactured from non-toxic material and are odourless, so there's nothing to off-gas in a closed cabin.
How do I clean them?
Shake off the loose debris, rinse with a hose, scrub with warm soapy water if they need it, then let them dry fully before putting them back in.
