Named after Volkswagen R's home in Warmenau, just outside Wolfsburg, this 19-inch forged wheel was developed by Volkswagen R and Volkswagen Design for the MK8.5 Golf R — and its look is a nod to the original Golf R32.
Lightweight
8 kg per wheel.
Forging lets VW cut each wheel to about 8 kg — around 20% lighter than comparable cast alloys. Less unsprung weight means sharper turn-in and a suspension that keeps the tire planted.
Brake Cooling
A 71% opening ratio.
Ten overlapping rectangles leave 71% of the face open, so air reaches the brakes and heat gets out — less thermal stress when the car is worked hard on track.

Black or dark grey.
VW offers the Warmenau in black or dark grey with a diamond-cut finish. Pick yours above — each finish has its own genuine part number.

InstallTire shop, then bolt on.
Mount and balance
Have a tire shop mount 235/35 R19 tires and balance each wheel. Ask them to use touchless equipment to protect the finish.
Transfer TPMS and caps
Move your tire pressure sensors (if fitted) and center caps over from your current wheels.
Bolt on
Fit with the factory lug bolts and torque to factory spec in a star pattern.
Re-check
Re-torque the lug bolts after the first 50 miles, and recalibrate the tire pressure monitor.

Is there an 18-inch Warmenau?
No — Volkswagen only makes the Warmenau as a 19-inch forged wheel. 18-inch "Warmenau style" wheels online are replicas, not genuine VW.
Is this one wheel or a set?
One wheel. Set the quantity to 4 for a full set.
Black or dark grey?
Both are genuine Volkswagen R finishes. Black suits darker cars and blacked-out trim; dark grey shows off the diamond-cut detail.
Will they fit my 2023 Golf R?
