MK8 Golf / GTI / R Center Armrest Storage Box
The MK8 armrest bin is one big empty box — everything you put in it ends up in a pile at the bottom. This tray drops straight in and splits it into sections, so coins, AirPods, a key fob and a charge cable each get their own spot instead of rattling around together.

Overview
A small fix for the worst storage bin in the car.
VW gave the MK8 a deep armrest console and then left it completely undivided. Anything small disappears to the bottom and slides from one end to the other every time you take a corner. This is the ten-dollar-idea fix — a moulded insert that turns the void into actual compartments.
The Layout
Separate spots for the small stuff.
Divided sections sized around what actually lives in a center console — loose change, earbuds case, spare fob, a folded charge cable, parking passes. Everything sits where you left it instead of migrating to one corner.
The Fit
Shaped to the MK8 bin, not a generic tub.
The outer profile follows the MK8 console opening, so it seats flat on the floor of the bin without wedging or leaving a gap down one side. The armrest lid still closes normally with the tray in place.
The Install
Open the lid. Drop it in. Done.
No tools, no adhesive, no trim removal, nothing to unclip. It sits in the bin under its own weight and lifts straight back out when you want to empty the whole thing or vacuum underneath.
The Upkeep
Takes the abuse instead of your console.
Coins, keys and cables scuff the factory bin over time. The tray wears instead, and when it gets grubby you pull it out and wipe it down rather than trying to clean around the shift area.

Will it fit?
Made for the MK8 platform center console — Golf, GTI and Golf R. If you're on a facelift MK8.5 or you've swapped your console, send us a photo of your open armrest bin and we'll confirm before you order.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does the armrest lid still close?
Yes. The tray sits below the lip of the bin, so the lid shuts and latches exactly as it did before.
Does it need tape or screws?
No. It drops in and stays put under its own weight. Nothing is glued, drilled or clipped — pull it out any time and the console is untouched.
Will it rattle?
It's shaped to the bin so there's very little room to move. If your car is on aggressive coilovers and you're picky about noise, a strip of felt under the tray kills any residual movement.
Can I still use the USB ports?
The tray sits in the armrest bin itself. Console ports ahead of the armrest are unaffected — if your car has a port inside the bin, plan on running the cable up over the divider wall.
Does this fit my MK7?
No — the MK7 console bin is a different shape. Email us and we'll point you at the right part if we carry one for your chassis.
What's the return policy?
Returns are handled under our standard refund policy. Reach out before sending anything back so we can sort it quickly.
