The new Tiguan's rear glass gives a clear view of everything in the boot. This is VW's own answer to that — the factory cargo privacy cover for the 2025–2026 car, in genuine VW form.
The Point
Bags, tools and gear stop being visible.
With the cover in place, everything below it reads as an empty load bay from outside the car. It's the cheapest deterrent you can put in a Tiguan, and the one most likely to be missing from a car that was ordered without it.
The Fit
The part VW specified for this chassis.
The MK3 has a different cargo area to the outgoing car, so covers from the 2018–2024 Tiguan don't carry over. This is part 57N061167CA9, the accessory VW lists against the 2025–2026 Tiguan.
The Trim Caveat
Not every Tiguan takes it.
VW's own catalogue excludes some trims from this part number. That usually comes down to how the rear cargo area is configured on a given build, which is why we'd rather check your VIN than have you send something back.
The Alternative
Aftermarket covers sag and rattle.
The copies in this space tend to droop through the middle once the fabric relaxes, and buzz against the trim over broken pavement. This is the factory piece, in the colour and grain that matches the rest of the cargo area.

A spring-loaded roll-up mechanism lives inside the main bar. It keeps the material pulled taut while extended, and reels it neatly back in when you let it go.
Compress, slot, release.
The cartridge has spring-loaded ends. Compress one end, drop it into the pre-existing mounting detents behind the rear seats, and let it expand to lock. No drilling and no hardware required.
Molded handle on the trailing edge.
Centred on the trailing edge so you can pull the cover out one-handed and drop it into the channels near the tailgate.
Heavy-gauge vinyl and fabric blend.
Built to resist fading from sun coming through the rear glass, and to shield whatever's underneath from UV and heat.
Pops out in seconds.
Lift the whole cartridge out when you need to fold the rear seats flat for oversized loads — large car parts, boxes, anything that won't clear the cover.
Matches the interior it sits in.
As a genuine VW part it uses the factory materials and slots straight into the factory mounting points — nothing to modify, nothing that looks added on.
