InstallBumper off, light in, then calibrate.
Remove the front bumper
The headlight comes out once the front bumper cover is off. Protect the paint and keep track of the clips.
Swap over any separate parts
Move the control module and any other parts not supplied with the new assembly from your old headlight.
Fit and plug in
Bolt the new headlight into the factory mounts, connect the harness, and refit the bumper.
Basic setting and aim
Run the headlight basic setting with a scan tool (ODIS, VCDS or OBDeleven) and check the aim. Matrix lighting won't work properly until this is done.

Why is the left headlight sold out?
The left headlight is on backorder at Volkswagen, so we can't take orders for it right now. Email us and we'll let you know as soon as it's back in stock.
Will it fit my 2023 Golf R?
No — the MK8.5 has a new front end, and the 2022–2024 MK8 uses different headlights. Get in touch and we'll quote the right part.
Do I need coding?
Yes. After install, run the headlight basic setting with a scan tool (ODIS, VCDS or OBDeleven) and check the aim.
What's the return policy?
Uninstalled and in original packaging, returns fall under our standard refund policy. Get in touch before sending anything back.
