This is the OEM 5H0941653 / 5H0941654 light bar assembly, sourced through Volkswagen's own parts network — not an aftermarket fiber-optic imitation.

VW redesigned the front bumper for the 2025+ Golf 8.5 refresh, changing the light bar's shape and connector. This listing has both the 2022–24 & 2025+ — check Fitment below before ordering.
The Side
Sold Individually — Pick Left or Right
Each side ships as its own part. If a stone chip or connector fault only affects one headlight run, you're not paying to replace both.

2022–2024 Golf 8 (MK8) — GTI, R
Select MK8 (22-24). Left is 5H0941653C, Right is 5H0941654G — order the side(s) you need.
2025+ Golf 8.5 (MK8.5 Refresh) — GTI, R
Select MK8.5 (25+). The refresh brought a new front bumper, an illuminated center VW emblem and reshaped headlights, so it runs its own assembly — Left is 5H0941653E, Right is 5H0941654E.
Early MK8, Mainly Europe-Market (Superseded Numbers)
Some early MK8 cars, mostly sold in Europe, originally used 5H0941653A (Left) and 5H0941654B (Right). Volkswagen has phased both out — a dealership parts lookup today returns 5H0941653C and 5H0941654G, which is what ships on the MK8 option here.
