Overview
The badge that lets the radar see through it.
Genuine Volkswagen part 3G0853601AJZA — the front grille emblem VW fits to cars equipped with Front Assist. Behind the gloss black face sits the radar module, so the badge is built to pass the sensor signal cleanly rather than block it.
The Part
Radar-transparent, not just a lookalike.
The chrome ring and VW roundel on this badge are applied in a way that doesn’t interfere with the radar behind it. A solid-chrome replica in the same spot can scatter or attenuate the signal and throw Front Assist faults — which is exactly why VW builds two separate part numbers.
The Finish
Gloss black field, chrome ring and logo.
Visually identical to the standard factory badge — a deep gloss black background with the chrome VW roundel raised over it. It reads clean against every factory grille colour, from Pure White to Deep Black Pearl.
The Install
Clips in. Nothing to recalibrate.
It’s a like-for-like swap into the factory mounts — the radar module itself stays untouched, so there’s no alignment or coding to redo afterward. No cutting, drilling or adhesive, and most people are done in ten minutes.
The Reason
The one thing people see first.
Radar badges sit right in the stone-chip firing line, and a pitted or hazed one ages an otherwise clean car. Swapping it is the cheapest way to make the front end look right again — and the easiest fix to do before a show, a sale or a fresh set of photos.
Fitment
Will it fit?
Part 3G0853601AJZA covers the MQB-era VW range built with a front radar sensor — Front Assist, adaptive cruise, auto emergency braking or Pre-Crash. On the Arteon specifically, this is the Travel Assist emblem. If your car has no front radar, you want the solid version instead. Send us your VIN if you’re unsure.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
I have an Arteon — is this the right badge?
Only if your Arteon has Travel Assist. Without it the car takes a different emblem. If you’re not certain, send us your VIN at contact@eurowerks.co and we’ll confirm the correct part before you order.
How do I know if my car has the radar badge?
If your car has adaptive cruise control, Front Assist or autonomous emergency braking, there’s a radar module behind the grille emblem and this is your part. The badge itself usually sits on a raised plinth with no open slots behind it.
What happens if I fit the wrong one?
A solid, non-radar badge in front of the sensor can weaken or scatter the signal and set off Front Assist faults or a dead adaptive cruise system. It’s worth getting the right part number the first time.
Is this a genuine VW part?
Yes. This is Volkswagen part 3G0853601AJZA sourced through dealer supply — not a replica or a reproduction.
Do I need to recalibrate the radar after fitting?
No. The radar module stays in place — only the badge in front of it is replaced, so there’s no alignment or coding work afterward.
What’s the return policy?
Returns are handled under our standard refund policy. Reach out before sending anything back so we can sort it quickly.
